John Deere (February 7, 1804 - May 17, 1886) was the blacksmith and manufacturer who founded Deere & Company - one of the largest agricultural and construction equipment manufacturers in the world. Deere was innate around Rutland, Vermont, the son of William Deere. Fallowing his father disappeared en route to England, Deere was raised by his mother. He received an education in the Vermont elementary school. He served a quaternary-month blacksmith apprenticeship, & entered the trade 1825. Within 1827 he married Demarius Lamb. By 1836 the few got iv youngsters, by using a fifth infant en route. Facing bankruptcy, Deere sold a shop to his father-around-law, & departed for Illinois.

By 1855, over 10,000 such plough were sold by Deere's manufacturing plant. From either a super beginning, Deere insisted in making high quality devices. Deere another time said, "I will never put my name on a product that does not have in it the best that is in me." When a business improved, Deere left a day to day operations to his boy Charles. Around 1868, Deere incorporated his business as Deere & Company.

Late within life, Deere focused virtually all of his attentiin on civil & political affairs. He served when President of the National Bank of Moline, the director of the Moline Yours free! Public Library, & was an active member of the Number 1 Congregational Church. Deere too served when Mayor of Moline for two years.

Deere died home in Might 17, 1886. A company he founded continued ensuing his demise, & has be one of a big manufacturers of farming & construction devices in the globe.
